Dr. Ivan Adamovich studied Economics at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. After that he spent two years as a doctoral student at the Max Planck Institute for Research into Economic Systems in Jena (Germany) and was a visiting scholar at the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley (USA). He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Fribourg and earned his PhD in Economics in 2003.
In 2004, Dr. Adamovich joined Wegelin & Co. Private Bankers in St. Gallen. From 2009 to 2012, he was Member of the Executive Board and Head of the Geneva branch. Between 2012 and 2017, Adamovich was in the Executive Board and Head of Private Banking International at Notenstein La Roche Private Bank, based in Zurich. He served on the Investment Commitee of the Bank since 2008 and became Chief Strategist and Deputy CEO of Notenstein La Roche. For many years he was also responsible for the flagship publication "Notenstein La Roche Dialogue".
Today, Ivan Adamovich is member of the Management Board of Private Client Bank AG in Zurich. Private Client Bank is a family investment office that focuses on wealth structuring and management. Adamovich also serves on the board of several foundations, such as Progress Foundation (Zurich) and Fundación Educación (St. Gallen).
